ATR Lucy Bio Lucy Brown, LAC, CADC III, CIP, CDWF

Lucy has been active in the field of recovery since 1980. She is holds LAC and CADC III in the state of Kansas where she is also certified to counsel in accordance with Kansas SB123 and SB6. The Association of Intervention Specialist has also granted her CIP, Certified Intervention Specialist. She has completed her training with Dr. Brene’ Brown as a facilitator of The Daring Way curriculum. Her extensive work with individuals and families continues grow in depth and distance providing hope and peace in the lives of those who work with her.

A native of Duluth MN, she began her journey into personal recovery in 1980. She met and married David in 1982 and they had 3 wonderful and successful children. Living in Kansas since 1993, her life has been forever changed for the better with the arrival of her first two grand babies. Much pleasure is found when she is with family, reading (academically or for pleasure) and has a real love for cooking.

ATR David Bio David Brown, LAC, CIP, CSAT(c), CDWF(c)

David was born and raised in the UK and moved to the US in 1974. He was originally trained in engineering and worked all over the world doing international sales in the power generation business. His journey into recovery began in Chicago, IL in 1982. There he met the woman who would forever change his life. Today he is a highly skilled and diversely trained interventionist who is a member of and is certified by the Association of Intervention Specialist granting him his CIP. He has furthered his credentials to include licensure as an addictions counselor, LAC as well as a sex addictions therapist, CSAT(c).

He also is a Consultant for Elements Behavioral Health and concentrates on the UK as their Clinical Outreach Consultant. This includes Marketing, consulting and clinical outreach on behalf of the Company and the Company’s subsidiaries and related business entities in and around the United Kingdom, including, but not limited to, establishing strategic relationships, producing events, attending addiction and other behavioral health related conferences and events, and other marketing and outreach services . In addition, he is a blogger on Intervention for Addiction Professional Magazine and is a contributing columnist to the British Intervene magazine which is the vehicle for UKESAD.

David has been married to Lucy since 1982. Together they moved to Kansas in 1991. David is the father of 5 incredible children. When his isn’t cheering on Manchester United, he and Lucy enjoy most the time they spend with their two beautiful granddaughters here in the states.

ATR Holly Bio Holly Jenks, Office Manager

Office Manager, Holly Jenks, has over 15 years of experience in management and business operations. In addition, she has held high level positions in Physician Assisting, Education, Promotions and Computer Forensics. Holly is a Certified Nurse Assistant in the State of Kansas and currently holds a B.S. Degree in Psychology.

Happily married with two sons, Holly strives to be the best wife and mother she can be.  She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, being outdoors, exercising, and listening to music. Holly is passionate about helping our clients understand the value of financial responsibility and is determined to see our office staff and clientele reach success, both personally and professionally. She aspires to return to school to continue her education in both Addiction and Biblical Counseling. Holly’s ambition, diverse skill-set, professional experience, and ability to be a jack of all trades make her a valuable asset to Avenues to Recovery.
